The Humble King of Peace

The scramble for peace in our world has been occurring since time immemorial. We long for peace, nations have peace talks, they even make treaties and have great intentions to fulfill them, but peace remains elusive to our world. Have you ever wondered why? In our attempts to control the outward circumstances we forget that peace will remain elusive ‘out there’ until Peace makes its home ‘in here’…our hearts. God sent his Son, Jesus, into our world not to solve our political problems, but to bring peace to our troubled hearts. That’s where it begins. 

“They give assurances of peace where there is no peace… This is what the Lord says: “Stop at the crossroads and look around. Ask for the old, godly way, and walk in it. Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls.  Jeremiah 6: 14b, 16  NLT
