Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows!
This is where we answer our community's wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track!
Check out today's questions:
Andrea: I’ve heard that Ashwagandha can have a negative effect on the thyroid, leading to hypothyroidism, if taken for too long. Is this an herb that should be pulsed, or is this information untrue?
Anonymous: Any advice for crusty eyes? Feels like it's a little sticky when I wake up. Never had this before!
Cara: You are incredible, thank you so much for showing up every day for our community! I'm an IHP L2 female graduate (Vata/25 year old) and recently did a bunch of tests (saliva hormones test, stool test, food sensitivity, hair tissue test & neurotransmitters test due to feeling very wired, with muscle spasms, and anxious. Gut is great but the following showed up: Stage 5 adrenal fatigue, very low potassium, elevations in mercury, arsenic and other metals and apparently my serotonin is on the higher end (not out of range), low norepinephrine and low epinephrine (the ratio between them is high though so confused?). My question is: What can I do to fix my norepinephrine and epinephrine? Also, do you think the l-theanine from my daily matcha is causing the high serotonin? Should I stop?
Anna: I am generally fit and healthy 35 y.o. woman, with long history of being vegetarian, who experienced 3 miscarriages (2 out of 3 was partial molar pregnancy). After all tests, supplemnetary plan, my period got completely crazy (it used to be every 30 days) and now I am bleeding for a month, it started on 10 day of my cycle. I have taken progresteron and excatyl to stop bleeding. Going on acupuncture. Nothing helps.
Victoria: Hi Dr. Cabral. Looking forward to this response & hearing your mastery! Thank you for you time. My question is - what order should I heal the below issues? I have a lot of different issues going on. Long-term lyme (still currently positive for IGM and IGG w western blot) - never took antibiotics. High mold - very high in Aspergillus mycotoxins (Ochratoxin A & Gliotoxin) Ochratoxin levels - 21.19 MG/dl (normal range
