Every business owner has lots to learn.  Whether you learn it up front, down the road, or along the way, you’ve got plenty to learn as you create, build, and run your business.  The Blackman brothers decided to take the journey together.  As young entrepreneurs they focus on building their company through Faith & Focus, Serving Clients with Value, and Going the Extra Mile.  They want to give their customers the “Whole Nine Yards”.

As friends, brothers, and business partners, Latrell and Lidon Blackman have similar approaches to business ownership and customer relations, they just come from different angles.  Latrell will advise you to “be patient on your own journey and don’t compare yourself to other businesses”.  While Lidon will straight up tell you to “shoot now and aim later”.  It would appear you could build a skyscraper between these two approaches to business ownership.  But a deeper conversation with these two bright stars reveals they are driving toward the same goal, just on different streets.  Latrell understands the value of being process oriented and using the structure of a solid process.  Lidon knows being bold and making decisions is key to moving forward.  These ideas, and bothers, can co-exist because they have to.

These two will also have you believing in their core values around being authentic and open to constant learning.  Lidon supports being your true self, always.  That means showing authenticity, personality, and connecting with people where they are.  His belief in himself and his calling from the Lord allow him the strength and confidence to bring his personal value to each client interaction.  He wants you to be seen, heard, and successful and it shows.  Latrell is the one that pushes for education.  He says it is worth it to pay someone for their mistakes.  In other words, he fully understands the lessons to be learned by sitting down with a mentor, a coach, or a colleague and taking it all in.  There is a world of knowledge and experience out there just waiting to be taught to those willing to accept the lesson.

The Blackman brothers’ operation is lean and mean.  They build brand packages for their clients that get results.  Their main value is fond in how they approach each project.  They follow their system.  It all starts with research, content creation, design, implementation, and execution.  Their step-by-step approach is what gives them an advantage in the market.  They can get to work and get results sooner than other firms because they are so adamant about adhering to their process.  The customers like working with them because of their authentic approach and systematic processes.  They love them for the results the get.in a systematic,

Blackmine Consulting works primarily on CPA firms.  Lidon and Latrell want to make accounting more digestible to the client, more relatable to the average customer.  That is their focus and where they place their attention.  They see this industry as misrepresented.  There are plenty of people in need of quality accounting services from top-of-the-line CPA firms.  But given the sea of dull, mundane, and typical branding within CPA firms, they all melt together into a typical CPA firm.  Blackmine Consulting is different.  Their clients see themselves as different.  And that is why the partnerships work.
