Barb: Hi Barb Zant here corporate sales leader, founder of the lifestyle brand and blog @thestayatworkmom and fashion stylist. It’s all about the simple things, finding joy in all that we do. So Debbie, who is this person? This experienced wow and all around contagiously positive person who has chosen to be with is today.
Debbie: Oh you nailed it Barb when you said contagious with positive that describes our guests energy, that’s for sure. He has mastered the artform of seizing opportunities in any situation. As a University of Florida graduate, he’s probably going to say Go Gators over here or something. He joined a company in Lakeland, FL as a warehouse runner by the age of 28 he was made the COO/Vice President of Sales, image a 28 year old doing that, it was during the recession of the 80’s his unique business philosophies were able to take the companies sales from $50 million to $103 million in 2 years and using the same 300 folks that did the $50 million, so you know he’s got some special sauce here. At 30 he wanted his own business so he bought a chain of tire stores, this became a fix it program and grew it from a financially broke company to the leading commercial tire company in the state of FL. He sold it to Dawn Alson Tire and retired at the age of 40, ahhh. But after only 2 months during his wonderful retirement with his, I’m gonna call it wife’s encouragement, you’re gonna want to go to his website to learn the whole story, it’s really good. He started assisting other companies as temporary CEO, he came out of retirement, got into working with only a construction company and then he retired again only to be called out fo retirement to be ideal images company CEO and then most recently he came a podcaster, a speaker and still works with many companies and individuals in selling skills and being completely business aware and business savvy. It’s absolutely a thrill to get to talk with head coach and founder of The Condo Coaches, adjunk CEO, Dean Akers.
Barb: Welcome Dean!
Dean: Thank you, Barb and Debbie!
Barb: Before we get started we like for out listeners to get to hear something special, unusual, or defining about you that for some reason if you didn’t get to share it here, they might never be exposed to it. So, what is that one thing we wouldn’t know otherwise about you?
Dean: Well one of the things is that I’m a pilot and they would say they don’t know that, but why that’s so unique is how I got it. I got it by taking care of people when Hurricane Andrew came and i flew every week I had to fly $2,000 dollars a week to my team
