Over the last couple of weeks I’ve had a few experiences where I’ve had to practice resilience. I wanted to share this with you and talk about the importance of practising resilience because as leaders this is something we will have to manage time and time again.
Today I’m talking about how hard it can be when conflict arises unexpectedly and ways you can keep your cool, take a breath and manage the situation as best you can. I share how resilience takes work, time and energy and something we have to continually practice. I talk about knowing when to separate the head and heart because not all conversations will be good ones, and how we can best manage our emotions. And I share the importance of showing up and not hiding away, even when we feel we want to.
