Episode 20- Side Study- The Origin of Satan and the Divine Council- Part 4

The Burros continue their study of this fascinating topic of "other gods" and the origin of the "adversary" found throughout scripture. In this episode they move from the Old Testament and Pseudepigrapha into the New Testament. This is where we find the true arch nemesis of Yahweh and His Christ, the Tempter, Satan. Without reading the second temple literature from the first century it is difficult to know who this evil one is. However, through further research into that literature and other writing of the time the Gospels were being written we discover the learned understanding of this evil adversary and as he himself has been developing into what he was when Jesus arrives.
