Winners of the 2019 Wacken Metal Battle Canada competition, Toronto's melodic proggers The Slyde recently represented Canada at the Wacken Metal Battle international final, at Wacken Open Air in Germany.  Off the heels of their Canadian victory, The Slyde is celebrating 10 years of their melodic prog rock, showcasing highlights from their latest album "Awakening".  The band (formerly known as just Slyde) dropped their ten-track album in 2018, harnessing the intricate, contrapuntal prog metal they've honed over the last decade. Described by critics as "a highly impressive, thunderously powerful, thought provoking collection of songs" and "vigourous and passionate", The Slyde carve their own path and take no prisoners.
