Salvation and righteousness are two sides to the same coin. Salvation is being saved from sin, death, and the power of the evil one. Righteousness is the nature of God conferred upon us as a gift to be received by faith (Romans 3:22). Understanding that the believer has been made righteous because of the works of Jesus is pivotal to our intimacy with God.
