Doyal began his professional career as a drummer at the age of 12 and has performed throughout the United States, the UK and Saudi Arabia. In the 90’s, he became a successful independent agent and worked closely with major record labels including Warner Bros., Sony and Capitol in the booking development of their new artists and formed groundbreaking strategic partnerships with major booking agencies including the Dale Morris Agency, William Morris (now WME), Monterey Artists (now Paradigm) and CAA. Simultaneously, he managed artists and secured recording and publishing deals for them. He has marketed his clients alongside brand names such as the Kennedy Center, the Smithsonian Institute and the Wildhorse Saloon. He also developed successful publishing interests, placing music with artists and in film and television documentaries for PBS, The Travel Channel and Academy Award nominated Rodeo Circus Films. As a publicist, Doyal has secured coverage his clients in major regional and national media outlets. Doyal also produced the performance video ‘Ray Price Live In Concert’ and has produced and/or played drums on charted Country, New Age and Roots-Rock songs in the U.S. and Europe for LiveWire, Shawna Russell, Coyote Zen and Billy Adams. In addition to the work at his own companies, from 2009-2011, Doyal rose from publicist to EVP of digital delivery service, AirPlay Direct, where he negotiated strategic partnerships with major music companies including CD Baby. He also served as Editor and contributing writer for its internet magazine, the Direct Buzz, where he conducted interviews with many of music’s most influential artists including Grace Potter, Emmylou Harris, Ray Stevens, Steve Vai and others. He left AirPlay Direct in 2011 to focus exclusively on his companies.
