a. To Those Within The Church— 12:9-16
1. Have a genuine, sincere love, not a facade (v9a)
2. We are to be disgusted by evil (v9b)
3. Hold fast to what is good (v 9c)
4. Love one another with brotherly affection(v10a)
5. Outdo one another in showing honor (v10b)
6. Do not be slothful in zeal (v11a)
7. Be fervent in spirit (v11b)
8. Serving the Lord (v11c)
9. Rejoicing in hope (v12a)
10. Be patient in tribulation (v12b)
11. Be constant in prayer (v12c)
12. Contribute to the needs of the saints (v13a)
13. Seek to show hospitality (v13b)
14. Bless those who persecute you, don’t curse them (v. 14)
15. Rejoice with those who rejoice (v15a)
16. Weep with those who weep (v15b)
17. Live in harmony with one another (v16a)
18. Do not be haughty (v16b)
19. Know the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight (v16c)
b. To Those Outside The Church — 12:17-21
1. Repay no one evil for evil (v17a)
2. Think on doing what is honorable in the sight of all (17b)
3. Live peaceably with all (18)
4. Never avenge yourselves, leave it to God (v19)
5. Be good to your enemy to provoke shame to change (v20)
6. Don’t be overcome by evil but overcome it with good (v21)
