In this episode, host Bidemi Ologunde described what is basically a case of Insider Threat on steroids, regarding how a U.S. Navy nuclear engineer and his wife conspired to sell Restricted Data regarding the design of nuclear-powered warships to someone they believed was a representative of a foreign government. Officials from that foreign government actually notified the FBI, which then led to a months-long sting operation involving encrypted messages and emails, multiple dead drops, and even the use of clandestine physical signals from the embassy of that foreign government in Washington, D.C.
