In this episode, host Bidemi Ologunde discussed yet another consequence of the labor market disruption which is seeing many people transition from blue-collar jobs and hourly work to “new collar” roles that often involve tech skills and come with better pay and schedules. Meanwhile, on the dark side of this disruption is the increasing popularity of income-share agreements, also known as ISAs, as in the case of a single mom who has now filed a lawsuit in California after signing up for a $30,000 ISA at a for-profit coding boot camp, alleging that she entered the agreement under “false pretenses.”
