Became police officer at age 40, moving from Michigan to Arizona after losing his home in Michigan. Lived in his Jeep for three months doing odd jobs and finding an apartment.

Six years as a detective in the Crimes Against Children Unit of the 5th largest city in the country. More than 1,000 cases worked. 

While interviewing a profoundly abused child,  Sean discovered the child reacted positively when asked about superheroes. This led to the creation of Put on the Cape a Foundation for Hope.
