Chanclas and Hispanic moms have been around since the dawn of time. It is the perfect combination of respect and violence all wrapped in a 5'2 frame. Another great combination Hispanic moms love is soups and hot summer days. Who knows why this tradition started but I have never dared to ask my mom. The last question I asked her ended with me crying and her in a 2hr rant about cookies always missing and that the CIA probably killed Kennedy.
