STATEMENT

The Auto Hub Show Advisory Panel met today and formulated the following recommendation for dealers on how to stop the turnover:

Dealers:
The time is coming soon when the gravy train will come to a stop, and you will need trained, capable, and invested people to avoid disaster and stay successful.

The recipe for failure: Keep doing what you’ve been doing.

The recipe for success:
Focus on your teams, build them, and find out what motivates them and what they want so that you can work together with them to create the business you want.

Stop looking for the needle in the haystack by only hiring new people, build with the people you have. It’s far more effective to develop your managers into leaders so they can develop their teams.

There is so much wasted effort and time spent on hiring new people, training them, and doing it over and over again.

Your greatest asset is not your building, it’s your people! Spend your time building your team!
