25. Philippe Laurent

Philippe Laurent is a French plastic artist, musician and designer. Whether working with graphic codes or digital codes, plastic arts or music, Laurent’s approach is one of research, specifically having to do with people's perception of signs and symbols. Hot-Bip is a pseudonym that Laurent used throughout the 80s and 90s, and also the title of his 1983 cassette on Fraction Studio, re-released a few years ago on Minimal Wave. He recently released a new EP on Peripheral Minimal and one with Xeno And Oaklander, out on Girouette Records. His 'Mithra AutomAttic mix' features only own tracks, plus a new version of "Mithra" special for this mix.
