“The best art, the best writing, comes from your most vulnerable moments… being a professional writer or artist is a whole other thing.”
— Rachel Mazza
Rachel Mazza could be considered “internet famous” in certain circles.
Rachel is a copywriter and copywriting coach who has gained a lot of visibility through her intensive coaching programs with Copy Chief and the podcast she co-hosts, The Business of Writing. She is an expert on the power of persuasion and specializes in a particularly challenging area: converting cold traffic and convincing skeptical audiences.
But Rachel doesn’t just help her clients perfect their prose — she also helps with their mindsets.
Rachel is a firm believer that people need to acknowledge the value of their work… even if it’s fun.
“That’s a big piece of head-trash for a lot of freelancers, especially creative freelancers and artists,” Rachel says. “If it’s easy and enjoyable for you, a lot of times we feel like we don’t deserve to be paid well for it. We either undercharge… or we make up extra things we’re expected to do.”
In this conversation, Rachel talks about blending the creator and the entrepreneur mindsets, building authority online, and how artists and creatives can create their own compelling personal branding.
In this episode of the podcast, you’ll discover:
✔ What a “skeptical audience” is — and the strategies Rachel uses to ease through their resistance
✔ A simple and effective challenge to help you build your authority online and establish yourself as a thought leader
✔ How to determine your unique and valuable copywriting DNA
