Dealing with Defeat

Today's Friday Fire I talk about dealing with defeat. I am at the 2022 World Championships in Nottingham England, and didn't make it past the quarter finals. So I thought this would be an ideal time to talk about dealing with defeat. Here are some of my best tips:

• I think remembering that it is all just a game, and we are playing because we like the game.


• Don't let a judge determine your self worth or skill in any area of life.


• Be a good winner when you win, and a great loser when you lose.


• Five years from now people wont remember your placing, though they will always remember how you made them feel.


• Keep trying, never give up just because you lost this time.
