Axia recovers with Adam’s help, but he is alarmed by the bold expression of her intentions towards him. Sofia recites the tragic history of the Massagetae and asks Adam to introduce her to Axia. Sophia and Axia come from different worlds, and Axia does not hesitate to express her claims to Adam, but at the end she is disarmed by Sophia's graciousness. Axia makes a dark vow to seek revenge for the murder of her father.
