In this episode, we speak to Lydia Storm, an artist who fuses realism with her own identity as an artist. Lydia grew up in Kingfisher, Oklahoma and was homeschooled. She spent her childhood making and drawing to her heart's content. After attending Oklahoma Baptist University, Lydia studied art, but eventually some things need to change, and thankfully, Lydia's husband backed her decision to pursue her passion full-time!
Lydia takes us through her journey from being a young artist to becoming a professional artist, talking to us about her favourite subject - yes, portraits! She takes us through some of her processes - explaining why she sometimes paints in black and white first and then the colour. She also shares glittery details behind some of her beautiful creations. We also talk about how she connects with clients for commissioning artwork, as well as how she showcases her work on social media.
If you are an artist of any level or enjoy hearing creative stories, this is an inspiring episode! Tune in to learn all about Lydia's creative processes and get to know more about her beautiful paintings. As well, don't forget to check her out on Instagram!
