The sound of silence applies to more than just Mitch McConnell

Today’s show looks at the element of silence. First, we have Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY). The House physician has cleared him for continued work, saying light-headedness is natural after a concussion. Plus, dehydration can be a factor. Does anyone believe that? In honor of this type of silence, we turn to comedian Jim Gossett who brings us his rendition of “The Sound of Silence.”

The next bit of silence is the under-reported story of inflation, gas prices, food prices and wages that have slipped since Biden took office. Along with that, 61% of American households are now living paycheck-to-paycheck and credit card debt has broken record ground at over a trillion dollars. But Lael Brainard on Biden’s economic advisory team wants you to be thankful that price at the pump isn’t as bad as it was last summer. Remember, the average price of gasoline before Joe took over was $2.39/gallon and today it is $3.81/gallon.

GA Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger quietly had to admit in court today that Donald Trump never asked him to “find 11,800 votes”, never asked him to fabricate votes, never asked him to betray his oath of office and never told him to declare him the winner in Georgia. Every lie he allowed to float around until the recorded phone call with Trump was discovered had to be denied today in front of Fulton County DA Fani Willis.

Victor Davis Hanson pens a piece where he discusses the silence of the Legacy/mainstream media as they moved from one hoax after another. They are quick to shout about the latest fabrications being hurled at Donald Trump and when they are found to be without substance, they simply move to the next one. Never an apology. Never a peep from them about being wrong. When the overwhelming mountain of evidence becomes impossible to ignore, the propagandists in the media will wait to get word that Joe is being cut-loose and then will they finally report on it. But, they will never apologize for not doing it sooner.

But, Miranda Devine has a piece in the NY Post saying she believes American’s are starting to see the truth for themselves. Thanks to this show and so many like it, the word is getting past the gatekeepers in Legacy/mainstream media.

Want to get a sense of what white elitists on the Left think about black Americans. We get a peek into what they truly believe, but generally never state aloud. John Mellencamp was with Bill Maher and when he said no more than 1%-2% of black Americans are better off today than the day’s of slavery, not even Maher would let that stand.

We then move to the dumbest items of the week. First, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre literally said Joe Biden has done more for border security than anyone. She says this as the far Left rag Washington Post puts out the following headline, “Families crossing U.S. border illegally reached all-time high in August.” Second, Joe Biden has renamed our Transportation Secretary. He introduced Mayor Pete as “Secretary BootyJuice.” Sometimes the jokes just write themselves.

Finally, I close with a read of a recent essay by Sam Janney, aka The Foo, aka @PolitiBunny on X. She is a senior editor for Twitchy and her piece was titled, “I”m about to tell the truthy. QUICK, ALERT THE AUTHORITIES!” It is a great read and sums up what people like me and her are up against in this world of cancel-culture and censorship.
