The jealousy referenced by God in this passage differs significantly from the everyday "green-eyed monster" often associated with the term today. When we use the term "jealousy," we typically refer to coveting something possessed by another that we lack ourselves. However, in today's episode, we will see that God's jealousy is not rooted in a desire for something He lacks, but rather in our failure to give Him what rightfully belongs to Him - our worship, praise, adoration, and honor.
