Devotion: Psalm 121

As a child, I often marveled at the eclectic collection of items tucked away in the corners of our home. My parents seemed to possess an uncanny ability to find value in the seemingly mundane — from old gift boxes to used ziplock bags and even scraps of wood salvaged from past projects. At first, I couldn't understand why they held onto these things with such tenacity. It wasn't until I grew older that I learned the deeper meaning behind their actions.

 In this episode, Psalm 121 invites us to reflect on where we place our trust in times of trial. Just as my parents looked beyond the material possessions to find security, the psalmist lifted his eyes to the hills, recognizing that true help comes from the Creator of heaven and earth.
