With a value of more than $65 billion today, Star Wars is one of the most successful stories of all time. It’s also a simplistic story. From a story perspective, it’s not breaking any barriers.

We find this again and again. Most of the stories that have had the greatest influence on our culture are simple stories. They hit the marks. Not because they’re lazy, not because they’re dumb, but because the creators are smart.

You don’t need to reinvent the wheel. You need a solid story so that you can talk about the things that really matter.

ASSIGNMENT: Write for one hour and put at least 1,000 new words on the page.
