Day 48: Writing Is a Sacrifice

Writing a novel is hard. Really hard. So hard that a huge majority of people who start a project like this one will never finish it.

But you will finish it. You’re doing something that most people won’t do.

Sometimes in order to say “yes” to something, it’s helpful to articulate what you’re saying “no” to. In order to take the pressure off the next six weeks of writing, ask yourself that question, “What am I saying ‘no’ to, in order to keep saying ‘yes’ to this novel project?'”

ASSIGNMENT: Write for one hour. Evaluate your results.
