Dan St.Yves' "Roots Resonator": Jason MacDonald 2017

Plucking observed or personally experienced snippets from his life in Cape Breton, and inserting those into his songs that further illustrate life in that part of Canada, Jason MacDonald has garnered a vast assortment of nominations and awards, even as far as an honourable mention in 2010 from the 17th Annual Billboard World Song Contest.

In this interview, we talk about his life in Eastern Canada, his songwriting influences, along with a few warm stories about a song he wrote for his wife, his meeting with iconic fellow singer/songwriter Murray McLauchlan, and a note on perfecting the jig strum.
