Industry Commentary - Plastics Pollution - the 1% Problem

Plastics make up approximately 1% of the materials we use annually to create the goods manufactured for our global consumption.  Why does the industry get such bad press?  Perhaps it's just too difficult to comprehend the volume of resources we consume every year.
