Tyra Forde reads "A Plate Away" from issue 2: Space(s)

A collaboration between Midtown Radio and Textile Magazine, Waterloo Region's premiere literary publication. The "Textile x Midtown" projects features exciting local authors, poets, and artists of colour reading the work they've published in in current or past issues of Textile Magazine. In this clip, Waterloo author Tyra Forde reads her poem "A Plate Away" which reminisces on the intersections of family, food, and identity. "A Plate Away" was published in Textile's second issue "Space(s)", released in spring 2021.
