On today’s session of Lifestyle Development Coaching, we are diving into a HUGE factor within the human experience and something I spend a LOT of time coaching on.  And it all centers around…. self-confidence. How we feel as we show up in this world.

Confidence is defined as the feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something; a firm trust. So self-confidence is the feeling or belief that one can rely on and firmly trust THEMSELVES.

Working on your self-confidence improves the harmony between you and your own being. It allows for homeostasis within your nervous system  and allows your body and brain to function the way it’s meant to, outside of 'fight, flight, or freeze'.

1. Understanding that self-confidence stems directly from self-love. Ask yourself, would you be friends with you?"
2. Using tools from cognitive reframing to intentionally shift the conversation in your mind.
3. Treating yourself with unconditional love (and understanding what that means).
4. Maintain that unconditional love by developing effective boundaries both for how others treat you, and how you treat you when things do go wrong.
5. Eliminating any comparison of self to others, by uderstanding that a fair comparison is literally impossible.
