Join me for the series 1 finale and episode 12 of the Tearoom Talks podcast. This week I am joined with Luke who works within the gambling and betting industry - A popular and sometimes controversial industry. We first discuss Luke's personal mental health battle and path which led him to depression, alcohol and addiction. Topics that we talk about evolve around what everyday life is like when dealing with depression and how you can encounter barriers. We move into the topic of gambling and how the industry can be difficult to work in. Luke shares stories of members of the public suffering with addiction and what that can feel like seeing these everyday occurrences. Finally we look into what the betting/gambling industry is doing to combat addiction and what procedures can be put in place to help people.
