The Wars of the Roses is arguably one of the more popular and accessible medieval topics thanks to popular culture, with the public and students engaging with the flowery narrative. However academically, this is a period of time that has very real consequences for ordinary men and women, with a host of extraordinary characters, and one that students can and should be diving into.
