It is impossible to add a chemical to pool water and only change the thing you added the chemical to change. WTF?! I know! No matter how pure, no matter where you purchased it from, you are going to change something else as well. Sometimes the unintended change is insignificant, other times you need to be prepared to add an entirely different chemical to counter the incidental consequences of your dose.
