"It's about compassion in our practice"   Keji Moses was born in Nigeria and lived there until she was 8 years old. Keji’s Mother moved to the UK and Keji lived with her Grandmother, until her Mother called her to join her in the UK.  Kejii’s Mother struggled with the responsibilities of being a Mother to Keji and her younger brother, she worked 3 jobs and Keji witnessed domestic violence and arguments between her parents, alcohol abuse and so much more.   During such a torrid time, Church became Keji’s safe place, joining the choir and doing lots of extra curricular activities.   Keji later went on to meet her husband and she fell pregnant with her first son Nathan. The pregnancy didn’t go smoothly as planned and when keji fell pregnant again a little while after Nathan she realised there was something wrong. She was told that her baby had no heartbeat and that she had developed a cyst on her ovaries. This happened again when Keji fell pregnant with a baby girl called Maya. Maya was not developing well during the pregnancy and doctors told Keji to focus on herself. Maya didn’t survive and with the emotional trauma that Keji went through she was in an extremely dark place.   Keji’s tale looks at pregnancy loss, not just for women but from a families perspective, how to deal with struggles with our mental health and how we can break through even the darkest of times.   Resources:   Instagram: @MayahsLegacy  Facebook: @MayahsLegacy  Twitter: @MayahsLegacy    Website; https://www.tommys.org/baby-loss-support/miscarriage-information-and-support/support-after-miscarriage
