Hello from Feeling-ville 💜
I'm going through some 'stuff' in my life at the moment including living through another April 16th, my late daughter and my son's birthday. That's right they're birthday twins! Declan was born just over 3 years after Chloe died. He was due on her birthday and came right on time.
For the last 16 years, I have never been sober on this day! I would celebrate with bubbles and usually a joint. So this year has been different, challenging and super cool, because I am feeling ALL the feels.
Which prompted me to ask you, what do you use to numb out yoru emotions?
Alcohol? Weed? Drugs? Online shopping? Online dating? Social media scrolling? Comfort eating? Binge watching?
There are so many things us humans turn to that are external to ourselves.
But don't think that you're waving those emotions good bye. What's happening is that they're being stored in your subconscious mind, and your subconscious mind's job it to present them back to you for processing, over and over again until you confront and deal with them.
