After a year of controversy Britney's contract with Pepsi does not get renewed and neither is the Canberra Cannons as they slip into voluntary administration and out of the NBL. 

Nelly doesn't get paid for his Nike endorsement, Blue and Elton John say sorry under difficult circumstances and the Emos give zero effs about Christmas albums. 

Big movies are out for the holidays though, Lord of the Rings, bit releases for JLo and Nicole Kidman and Scorsese drops the mighty Gangs of New York.
