About twenty years ago, a little girl wandered into the Veldt to see the ruins. When a gallant Infiltrator came to her rescue, her heart was ensnared, not by her daring hero, but by the artificial soldier they battled. It had been made by human hands, she thought, and she looked down at her own tiny fingers. Yesterday, in her quest to learn the effects of extreme heat on stone structures, she became the latest addition to the vault of the demon known as the Radiant Prince, and her rescuers forgot all about her.
