July 9, 1937...Nitrate film, a heat wave, and poor ventilation lead to an explosion in a New Jersey neighborhood, killing one teenage boy, injuring his mom and brother, and destroying 5 homes and 40,000 reels of reels of silent movies filmed prior to 1932.
