Ann Cooper Hewitt...A California heiress set to inherit 2/3 of her father's four-million-dollar estate, was sterilized by her mother just before her 21st birthday without her knowledge or consent.  The eugenics movement in the US last 40 years, this was a common occurrence, and endorsed by the supreme court. but Ann fought back; she sued her mother and the doctors who performed the procedure.
