Applying to Grad School with Lavinia L.

I am so grateful to be joined by Lavinia, a wonderful client of mine who was part of the Apply Yourself 1:1 VIP 90-Day Coaching Program. Lavinia graduated from York University’s Health Studies program. She is currently working in the community health field, specifically for the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) and Trillium Health Partners Institute for Better Health. Also, I am so excited to announce that Lavinia has been granted admission to McMaster’s University and is starting her Master’s in Public Health program in just a few weeks!     

In this episode, Lavinia explained that her personalized application to her Master’s program was truly informed by her current work and interests in systems navigation, knowledge translation, and integrated care, and her ultimate goal to work in consulting. She shares her experience working with Adrienne during the 1:1 sessions and how the skills she learned in the 1:1 program transfer seamlessly into her current work. Lavinia also shares with us her mindset growth during her application journey - she is now more confident and is able to focus on herself, her experiences, her skills, and what she brings to the table.
