How do you feel when you hear the word “risk?”

It might feel exhilarating. Then again, maybe it feels more like a punch in the gut. Maybe it’s equal parts excitement and terror, especially when it comes to your business. Maybe it’s like what I did this past weekend, venturing into the post office today to wait for 2 hours! That was a massive risk which cost me a big chunk of my day but I mailed out 60 packages to everyone who has been a guest on my podcast!

After all, risks are all well and good...when they work out, right?

Risk can be tricky. If you don’t take any chances, you’ll stay stuck just where you are. But if you do take some risk, what are the REAL chances that everything will come up rosey?

Here’s the bad news: there is NO such thing as a risk-free gamble. But there’s good news, too. You CAN take a risk without risking everything. You can do something courageous and expansive and without signing your life away.

And regardless of whether or not a risk works out for you, there will ALWAYS be something gained by something ventured. Guaranteed.

It’s just a matter of knowing how to tip the risk/benefit ratio in your favor. And being brave enough to roll the dice.
