We are back to with freelance bass player, drummer and rhythm guitarist AND talent booker/booking agent Cody Mack! This is easily one of my fave episodes so far! It's a big one, there's a lot to cover and we may ruffle some feathers, but it's a real honest conversation! This episode is all about YOU booking YOUR own show as an independent or emerging artists! We confront the topic of why you may not be getting booked for shows are securing show spots and starting out, most artists/musicians don't have a booker/agent or anyone to really assist them when booking shows, where do you start? We tell you that! We discuss EPKs, how to approach venues to book a show and who's job it is to promote the show. We talk about what you should and have prepared before booking a show and how to prepare a show so it's successful!! I even became enlightened when we discussed a way of booking shows that some venues have done - I saw it as a huge negative, but Cody explains how it's a very great learning experience for green artists!
