It's not breaking news to recognize that there are more women in the chairs are chair than men. This has been a trend for generations now. But, when we look at what the Bible tells us, men are to lead and protect their families. They are to be active in teaching and leading their kids to know God. They are to be workers in the church and be mindful to care for the flock.
How can they care for the flock when they aren't even in the church? While this may seem like a mute problem, the reality is that with our men out of the church we are seeing greater societal ills. The family is breaking up, the rates of depression and anxiety or soaring, the infighting and division among our culture is building. Whether we want to admit it or not, there is a correlation between these challenges and lack of male leadership in the church.
During this show, Hutch and Kyle challenge and encourage Strong Dads and our neighborhood churches to own this problem. We are not helpless in these challenges. In fact, we have a tremendous opportunity to change our present day church and churches for generations to come. It is time to stop sitting back and watching and complaining about we don't like church. Rather, it is time to be a difference maker! It is time to do what we are called to do. Lead and lead well!
