The statement, "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas", is one that has been joked about for many years.  But in this show, Hutch and Kyle take on this phrase as it may relate to our marriages.  Keeping secrets from your spouse, or in other words, not being transparent, is a quick way to erode trust in a relationship.  Couples who keep secrets and lack transparency often find themselves doubting each other and ultimately the overall health of their marriage. 
Transparency is important because it is the foundation for trust.  We often minimize or dismiss our shortcomings or lies with the thought that nobody needs to know our business.  While in some cases this may carry some truth, in the marriage, it seldom does.  The more transparent we are the stronger the trust will be in the relationship.  When the trust is strong and adversity does come up in the marriage, the likelihood of successfully working through it is far greater.
