Strong Dads - Stop Pouring Gas on the Fire! - Episode 127

Do you know people who seem to make difficult situations even worse? They have a knack for entering a small conflict or disagreement and turning it into a huge mess!  Maybe you are that person.  

In this show we talk about how to defend yourself and your family by knowing when and how to de-escalate a situation.  Way too often people have a way of making mountains out of molehills which often leaves everyone involved in a worse position than they needed to be.  

During this show, Kyle and Hutch make reference to some people that we all know on both sides of this coin.  We all know someone that is quick to put gas on a fire, but we also may know people that bring calm to the fire in order to protect and deliver a better outcome.  

Whether you are wired to be the person that insights trouble or the person that brings calm in the storm, it is important for us to think about what the potential outcomes maybe before we jump into the fire.  As a Strong Dad, we have more responsibility than just our own desired outcome.  We have been given the responsibility to look out for our people of connection.  Marriage, Family, Workplace, and so on.  We can be so much better when we learn some simple skills of diplomacy and work through conflicts without blowing them up.
