Strong Dads - Parable of the Rich Young Man - Episode 208

Do you have any false gods?  You might be surprised if you really start looking deep enough.  Money, comfort, control, security, power, and a list of many others can be seen as our false gods. 
 
In the parable of the Rich Young Man, we may be quick to judge his difficulty with turning away from his money and pursuing Christ, but the reality of it is that we often have the same challenge in our lives.  Maybe it's not money keeping us from following Christ, but maybe it's something else. 

This parable is a reminder of how challenging it is to truly follow Jesus.  We won't know how strong our faith is until we have it tested.  What is Jesus calling you to do and you have been holding back?  Why are you holding back?  What excuses do you use to rationalize your failure to follow?
