A man is not defined by the size of his body, the money in his bank account, the strength of his muscles, the power he exerts in the board room, or the size of his truck.  A true man is defined by God's standards.  A true man is  obedient to the authority of God in his life. He honors God by honoring and loving his wife and family. He understands agape love for his family and recognizes when he is being tempted by his sin nature.  A true man understands the purpose in raising Godly children and building into the next generation.

This show is all about men growing more than themselves.  It is about men growing their kids and more specifically, their sons.  Raising the next generation of men is critical to the welfare of our culture as well as our families.  The question is, how well will we raise them and what kind of men will they be?  This is not something that happens randomly.  This is something that we are called to do with purpose and intention.  Sitting back to allow your boys to figure out what kind of man they want to be is like sitting back and not guiding your kids through their education.  It sounds absurd to sat back and just assumed that our kids will learn to read, write, and do arithmetic.   The same holds true with teaching our boys to become men. We must do this for them and the generations to come.

Over the past 40-60 years the US culture bought into the selfish aim of living for self.  Making yourself happy!  This seemed to make sense in the moment, but we have come to see with our own eyes that our societal ills are largely due to this mindset.  The selfish desire of men to please their flesh has come at the expense of future generations.

Our work to restore the role of men in their families is not too late.  We must start by recognizing where we went off course and begin to raise our boys to become the men that many of us did not have such a clear vision of.  One of the greatest signs of maturity is to accept responsibility for your errors and then work to restore and repair.  This is such a time for us men to accept our wrongs and right our wrongs.  Our first place of practice is by turning back into our homes and begin to raise our boys to be true men of God.
