Summary:
Saving Samantha's life will require a procedure the hospital is not equipped to perform. Samantha must be airlifted to another hospital in Denver in order to have the operation. Unfortunately, on this evening a major upper-level storm system is moving in from the west. Halfway to Denver, the problems begin. The right engine flames out, and Samantha's condition is increasingly critical. An in-flight emergency is declared, and the plane must land short of its destination in the small town of Rifle, Colorado. The plane then becomes immersed in the oncoming blizzard.
