A sheriff investigates the mysterious quakes that have beset her small town.

Genre: Fantasy, Mystery, Science Fiction

Excerpt: The rumblings were so quiet at first that official records conflicted on the date they actually started. People thought they were imagining them. They only happened at night. And they were only felt in their town of Acton.

Influences: Elements of this story are homages to one of my favorite movies from my youth, “Tremors.” (Haven’t seen in it a while though. Wonder if it holds up.)

Episode art description: Digital drawing. At center, a range of hills with an opening and a path leading away. Behind the hills is a night sky shimmering with colors like a nebula or an aurora borealis.  Above, glowing objects fall at an angle from upper right to lower left, like a meteor shower.
