At one point in time, almost all of us have faced some sort of rejection. Rejection hurts. Whether it’s from family, friends, co workers, or in a job, when we experience rejection it hits us — Some of the most painful memories in life.
So what do we do with this rejection?
In today's conversation, we talked a lot about the gift of rejection for her that came through divorce. So in abuse or trauma in other ways, we talk a lot about rejection versus attachment and how they serve us, what they curate for us, how holding on to the known can be really a reflection of fear, and the gift of the unknown being a gift of growth. Ultimately, we are the power source to then consent to our own growth (and that takes a whole lot of awareness).
Is there any way rejection can actually be a good thing?
We may wonder, "what is wrong with me?" We might begin pulling ourselves apart with self-criticism. However, rejection also has a way of teaching us, redirecting us, and ultimately making our lives better.
Shama Dhanani is a creatix, certified clinical hypnotherapist, soul coach, success shaman and meditation teacher. She firmly believes that even though she holds these titles (and she's in this position of guidance and support for others), you are the power source — you are.
Tune into today’s episode as Shama shares how to hold onto the truth of who you are in the midst of rejection.
