Welcome to another episode of Stories Behind the Songs! This week we sat down with Marv Green – Marv has cuts for pretty much anyone you can think of - LoneStar, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, George Strait, Brooks and Dunn, Sara Evans, Morgan Wallen, Bon Jovi, Blake Shelton, Dustin Lynch, Chris Young, Lee Brice, Dierks Bentley. And this doesn’t even come close to the full list. Marv moved out to Nashville in ‘93 from California – it took him 5 months to get signed and then had his first number one after only 5 years in town. In this episode we talk about tons of stories behind songs he’s written for Morgan Wallen, George Strait, and Bon Jovi (just to name a few), the difference between Nashville in the 90's and Nashville today, tips for writing with great songwriters, how to build connections in the city and so much more. Marv has been working in the industry for a while now and is still actively writing and putting out hits.
